About the club

Medeama SC is a Ghana Premier League club from Tarkwa in the Western Region, founded in 1996 by Ghanaian businessman Moses Armah Parker. The club won back-to-back GPL titles in 2023–24 and 2024–25, becoming the first Ghanaian club outside the Kotoko-Hearts-Aduana axis to string together consecutive league titles in the modern era. Medeama are two-time Ghana FA Cup winners, in 2013 and 2015. The 2023–24 title qualified Medeama for the CAF Champions League group stage, a Ghanaian footballing first for the Western Region. The club plays at Akoon Park in Tarkwa, a 6,500-capacity ground in the heart of the mining belt. Under head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, Medeama have built a system based on disciplined defending and measured attacking play.

Founded by Moses Armah Parker, a Ghanaian businessman who built the club up from the lower divisions of Ghanaian football.
