The first 50 writers to qualify as Brand Author (Tier 4) get a 70% affiliate revenue share for life. Standard affiliate split is 50/50 — Founding Writers keep 70% forever. The cohort runs until we hit 50 Founding Writers or through 31 December 2026, whichever comes first.
How do I get paid? add
Four streams: reader tips (85/15 author/platform), paid subscriptions (90/10 year 1), affiliate from betting/product links on your content (70/30 for Founding Writers, 50/50 standard), and sponsored briefs from brands (80/20). Payouts via Stripe, Flutterwave, or Paystack — weekly withdrawals once balance clears $50.
Do I need to be a professional journalist? add
No. We onboard working journalists, tactical analysts, data-blog writers, podcasters, football academy coaches, and high-quality fan writers. What matters is quality, not credentials. First 3 posts always reviewed by a senior editor, regardless of background.
How much time does writing for Afroduma take? add
A Contributor can manage with 4 posts/month (~1,000 words each, ~4 hours/week). Junior Writer tier at 8 posts/month is a solid side income (~8 hours/week). Brand Author tier (20+ posts/month) is a meaningful part-time commitment for meaningful part-time income.
Can I write for Afroduma and keep my other gigs? add
Yes. Non-exclusive by default. You can cross-post older work elsewhere. For Brand Authors we ask for first-publication of 3 posts/month; you keep the rest.
What topics can I cover? add
